Your Impact
As a Hardware Systems Validation Engineer at Dedrone, you will be instrumental in ensuring the performance, reliability, and safety of our integrated cUAS systems, spanning various Dedrone solutions, including portable or vehicle mounted as well as mitigation solutions. Your role will involve developing and ensuring comprehensive validation strategies, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and guiding continuous improvement in both our hardware validation processes and the overall performance and reliability of our products and solutions. Given our global team, you will occasionally travel to support validation activities on-site and coordinate successfully across different time zones.

Develop and Define Validation Strategies: Establish quality requirements and validation guidelines for complex hardware systems, ensuring they meet all performance, safety, and reliability standards. Work closely with product engineering teams to facilitate the execution and compliance of these strategies.
Ensure System Integration Testing: Oversee and define the validation framework for integrated systems, ensuring seamless operation of hardware components within the Dedrone ecosystem while supporting product teams in executing these tests.
Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with design, software, and manufacturing teams to identify potential issues early in the development process, ensuring cohesive system functionality and compliance with validation standards.
Analyze and Report Findings: Define methods for interpreting test data, identifying trends, root causes of failures, and areas for improvement, while ensuring clear and actionable reports are provided to stakeholders.
Drive Continuous Improvement: Promote and implement enhancements to validation methodologies, tools, and processes, supporting product teams in elevating the overall quality of Dedrone's hardware offerings.
Support Test Automation Efforts: Guide the development and maintenance of automated testing frameworks, ensuring efficiency and coverage of validation activities, while enabling product teams to implement automated test solutions.

Educational Background: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Quality Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field with equivalent practical experience.
Professional Experience: 3+ years in hardware systems validation, with a focus on complex, integrated systems.
Technical Proficiency: Solid knowledge of system-level hardware testing methodologies, experience with test automation tools (e.g., Python, LabVIEW), and insight with relevant industry standards.
Analytical Skills: Ability to examine complex data sets to identify issues and drive solutions.
Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written English proficiency is required, with experience presenting findings to diverse audiences in a clear and professional manner.
Team Collaboration: Proven ability to work proficiently in cross-functional teams, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to validation activities, ensuring all aspects of system performance are thoroughly evaluated.
Problem-Solving Aptitude: Robust troubleshooting skills, with the ability to devise innovative solutions to complex challenges.
Adaptability: Willingness to travel (approximately 10%) to support validation activities at various locations.
